EEG Technologist/Sleep Technologist
Full Time Night shifts (3 x 12s or 4 x 10s)
We are looking for Sleep technologist, RPSGT willing to cross train into EMU monitoring.
EEG technologist R. EEG T. with sleep experience
Actively pursuing skills to reliably perform quality specialized Neurodiagnostic procedures including but not limited to; intra carotid amytal tests (WADA), TCD and prolonged EEG/video studies. Performs Neonate EEG, ECS studies, bedside corticography, SPECT injections and NCS/EMG/EP studies.
Obtains neuro-medical histories from patients in order to determine appropriate Neurodiagnostic tests.
Provides education and technical demonstrations to peers, students, nursing staff, residents and other health care professionals; assists in orienting and mentoring.
This position requires the employee to be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and care of patients of certain age categories, as appropriate to assigned patient populations. The age specific populations this employee may competently care for may include the following: infant (0-23 months), pediatrics (2-11), adolescent (12-17), adult (18-74), and geriatric patient (75 and older). It is expected the employee will be competent to interpret age specific developmental, physiologic and unique care needs by assessment, and by observation of care delivery.
Associate's degree or graduate of an accredited Electroencephalographic or Electo-Neurodiagnostic Technician program OR High School diploma/GED with 1 registration.
Registered as an Electroencephalographic Technician (REEGT) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET).
One year of EEG experience
BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date, and current AHA BLS must be good through sixty days of hire.
Formal Neurodiagnostic training
Board Registry of Electo-Neurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET): EEG, EP or CLTM certification, Graduation from a CAAHEP Program
Double registry: R. EEG T. and EP by The American Board Registry of Electo-Neurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) preferred
