The Polysomnographer Technologist (RPSGT) must show proficiency in all Sleep Diagnostic procedures and other related procedures in accordance with the guidelines established by the AASM and BRPT. The responsibilities may include the following duties among others:
Patient setup, calibration.
Monitoring of multiple physiological data throughout the tests.
Troubleshooting of polysomnographic recording equipment
Recognize the need for medical intervention if patient safety is at risk.
Remove, and sterilize electrodes and sensors at completion of study.
Candidate must be reliable, able to work independently and be self-motivated.
Ability and willingness to travel between our sleep labs as needed.
Running Overnight sleep studies, diagnostic, split, titrations, daytime MSLT studies and patient mask fitting among other duties.
Shall be licensed in the State of California.
Must hold a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential with current certification.
Maintain a current card with American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification as a condition of employment.
