JOB SUMMARY

Manages operations for Respiratory, Sleep Disorders, and/or other services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implements departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.

Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management and other job related issues. Oversees scheduling, recruitment and payroll.

Prepares and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.

Recommends changes in departmental operations and clinical performance standards.

Assess and implement new therapy modalities with guidance of Medical Director; as approved by governing body of respiratory care.

Collaborates and supports ongoing education for staff and other hospital associates.

Participate in organizational quality improvement programs.
