Job Summary

As the developer of sleep scoring and telemedicine platforms, the AASM has been at the forefront of medical innovations. We’re excited to expand our services with an artificial intelligence (AI) scoring certification tool for sleep scoring vendors. We have an immediate need for a Sleep Scoring Project Manager to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the AASM’s artificial intelligence (AI) scoring certification and inter-scorer reliability (ISR) assessment programs. This person will also serve as a staff liaison to panel/committee workgroups and with prospective industry contacts, manage the sleep record submission/acquisition process and the associated rewards program.   

The ideal candidate will be an experienced registered sleep technologist with leadership skills and a customer service mindset. You are self driven, confident and ready for new challenges using cutting edge sleep technology. Bonus points if you’ve used AASM Sleep ISR.

Duties

Sleep ISR

• Lead the acquisition and validation of adult and pediatric sleep records for the Sleep ISR program. 
• Contact different sources to obtain sleep records (EDF files). Ensure files meet data standards for successful import into the Sleep ISR platform.
• Review sleep records with Adult and Pediatric Gold Standard Panel Co-Chairs to make selections for use in the Sleep ISR program. Develop initial answer keys and discuss how each epoch was scored based on AASM scoring rules.
• Schedule and facilitate gold standard panel monthly conference calls/meetings.
• Assist gold standard panel co-chairs as needed to finalize the record review (deadline reminders, making notes to the record, final scoring adjustments, audio/video editing as needed, import into Sleep ISR platform and sync it with the exam). 
• Post new adult and pediatric scoring modules to the Sleep ISR Platform.
• Monitor the initial scoring results and notify co-chair about potential discrepancies.
• Onboard new Gold Standard Panel Co-Chairs and Members.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scoring Certification

• Staff liaison to the AASM AI committee, participate in meetings and conference calls as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the AASM artificial intelligence scoring validation certification program.
• Work with sleep scoring vendors to inform them about the program and secure their participation in the program.
• Facilitate all stages of the AI scoring certification process, which includes face-to-face virtual meetings with software representatives.
