You Will Be Responsible for:
Reviews patient history, physical information, medications, procedure request and study protocol.
Explains procedure and orients patient to the sleep center.
Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary.
Apply electrodes and sensors per accepted standards.
Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.
Perform positive airway pressure mask fitting
Produces optimal recordings of EOG, EMG, EKG, SaO2, airflow, respiratory effort, CPAP and BIPAP.
What you will need?
Polysomnographic Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies or successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and or nationally accredited educational facility
Must have CPR certification in Basic Life Support
RPSGT /RRT-SD Certification
Minimum of 6 months’ experience preferred
The Polysomnographic Technologist will deliver safe and effective care, which is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the direction of a registered polysomnographic technologist and the clinical coordinator to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.
