Registered Polysomnographer
The Registered Polysomnographer works under general supervision in a laboratory to conduct sleep studies. He or she performs comprehensive testing, data analysis and treatment of sleep disorders. This includes patient interviews, education and explanation of polysomnographic tests and procedures; maintenance and monitoring of equipment; as well as collaboration with others on the medical care team. Collect, analyze and integrate patient information (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status, and pertinent medical/social history) to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
