Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire provides the community with a 44-bed, full-service hospital offering advanced care including cardiovascular surgery, advanced spine surgery, 24/7 emergency medicine, critical care, inpatient/outpatient oncology care, and more.
36 hours/week with Full-time benefits: Mon - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; variable days with one day off per week
Marshfield Medical Center - Weston offers a wide range of advanced care services to individuals in Central Wisconsin including primary care, urgent care, lab services, radiology, pharmacy, family care, cancer care, pediatrics, and more.
24 hours/week with Part-time benefits: Two consecutive nights Sunday - Thursday from 6:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
The Polysomnographic Technologist / Technician provides sleep care services to patients in accordance with the provider's direction and established protocols to independently preform Polysomnograms (PSG), Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance Wakefulness Test (MWT) and Unattended Sleep Studies. Must acquire and maintain special technical skills and medical knowledge to render quality patient care. Both positions share similar responsibilities. During the time that the technician is not registered in polysomnography and unable to work independently, they will work under the supervision of a registered polysomnographic technologist. If a supervising technologist is unavailable, the technician may need to be utilized in a different role.
Polysomnographic Technologist must have:
High school diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited polysomnographic technology program
One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END) or Polysomnographic Technologist
Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) as a registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) Basic Life Support (BLS) awarded by the American Heart Association
Two years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist preferred
Polysomnographic Technician must have:
Graduate of or currently enrolled in a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited polysomnographic technology program OR
Graduate of or currently enrolled in a CAAHEP accredited electroneurodiagnostic or respiratory care program with a polysomnographic add on program OR
Able to Qualify under any of the Eligible Pathways as defined by the BRPT for RPSGT Exam Eligibility
Associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography, respiratory care or electroneurodiagnostic technology preferred
Highly encouraged to become a registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)
