The Medical Instrument Technician (Polysomnography), under supervision displays proficiency and performs at a level of excellence in all sleep diagnostic and related procedures in accordance with guidelines established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Association of Sleep Technologists, the National Board for Respiratory Care, the American Association for Respiratory Care and policies and procedures of the Black Hills Health Care System. Duties include but not limited to: Troubleshoot and repair as necessary EEG, EKG, EOG, EMG and respiratory monitoring equipment. Will recognize when situation is above his/her skill level and ask for assistance of the supervisor. Timely and accurate with patient hook up utilizing the international 10-20 system of measurement.
